A Note From Our Founder
Life is a competition between you and yourself. Don’t spend or waste time worrying about who is racing in the lane next to you. Focus on your own stride, putting one foot in front of the other to the best of your ability. At Project Transition, we aim to equip you with the necessary tools to do just that so that with each passing day you show up as the best new and improved version of yourself.
– Marcellus Wiley

the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.
Marcellus Wiley’s unique experience of surviving the hardships of growing up in one of America’s toughest cities to become an All-American Ivy League Scholar, NFL All-Pro Athlete, and a staple in the sports entertainment industry for over two decades, gives him a unique outlook on life. His journey has empowered him to bring a well-rounded yet nuanced lens and perspective toward life and complex social issues with the objective of achieving non-zero-sum solutions.
Growing up, Marcellus recognized early on the lack of tangible resources in his immediate environment and its negative impact on the community as a result. This awareness cemented a singular focused goal of doing any and everything he possibly could to change his circumstances for his family and himself. As a child, he was a fan of the popular television show “Different Strokes,” a 1980’s sitcom about a wealthy Manhattan family that adopted two inner-city kids from a poverty-stricken community in Harlem. The portrayal of their journey to opulence in this series planted the seed in a young Wiley’s mind and the concept of “Transition” became a vivid reality.
